Password Generator Online

Updated 2026-07-09

Generate strong, random passwords online in your browser. Set the length, choose whether to include uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols, and SnapTools produces a secure password you can copy instantly. Nothing is uploaded — every password is created locally using your browser's cryptographic random source, so the secret never leaves your machine.

This privacy guarantee matters most for passwords: a credential that is transmitted, stored, or logged elsewhere is no longer fully secret. Generating locally keeps each password yours alone, whether you're creating an account, rotating a compromised credential, or seeding a password manager.

// how to use

  1. 1 Set the password length with the slider or input.
  2. 2 Toggle which character types to include — uppercase, numbers, and symbols.
  3. 3 Click Generate to produce a password, then click Copy to use it; refresh for a new one.

// faq

No. Every password is generated in your browser and never leaves your machine. This matters for passwords specifically — a secret that is transmitted or logged is no longer secret, so generating locally keeps it yours alone.
Characters are drawn from your browser's cryptographic random source, not a predictable formula, so each password is unpredictable and independent of the last.
This produces a dense string of random characters that is hard to guess but harder to memorize. A passphrase generator produces several real words that are easier to remember and type while still being strong.
Longer is stronger. Sixteen characters with mixed types is a solid default; go to 20 or more for high-value accounts.
Each enabled character type widens the pool of possible characters, which increases the work an attacker must do to guess the password. Enable as many as the target site allows.
