SnapTools API

Every SnapTools tool is also an HTTP endpoint, running the same tools-core engine as the web UI — so the API and the browser return identical results for identical input. This page loads an interactive reference; the summary below is the same information in static form.

Authentication

Requests are authenticated with an API key issued from your dashboard and sent as a bearer token. Keys are shown once and stored hashed.

curl -X POST https://thesnaptools.com/api/v1/tools/json-minifier \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"json": "{ \"id\": 42 }"}'

Responses

Every response uses the same envelope:

{
  "success": true,
  "data": { ... },
  "meta": { "tool": "json-minifier", "processing_ms": 3, "timestamp": "..." }
}

Failures return success: false with an error object carrying a code and message. Rate-limit state is returned on every response in the X-RateLimit-* headers.
