Percentage Calculator Online

Updated 2026-07-09

Calculate percentages online for free. Find what X% of a number is, work out what percent one number is of another, and measure the percentage increase or decrease between two values — all with live results as you type. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.

Percentages trip people up because the same word covers three different sums: a share of a total, a ratio between two numbers, and a change over time. This calculator lays out all three as plain-English questions with the answer beside each, so discounts, tips, test scores, and growth figures take one glance instead of a mental juggle.

// how to use

  1. 1 Pick the calculation you need — percent of a number, one number as a percent of another, or change.
  2. 2 Type your numbers into the fields; the answer updates instantly as you type.
  3. 3 Read the result on the right of each row.

// faq

No. Every calculation runs in your browser as you type, so nothing you enter leaves your machine.
Divide the percent by 100 and multiply by the number — 15% of 200 is 0.15 times 200, which is 30. The first calculator does this for you instantly.
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, and multiply by 100. Going from 80 to 100 is a 25% increase; a drop is shown as a negative percent.
A change from 10% to 15% is 5 percentage points, but a 50% increase in relative terms. This tool reports the relative percentage change, which is what most everyday questions mean.
Yes. You can enter decimals and negatives, and results are rounded to a few decimal places for readability.
